My coaching style is a dynamic blend of old-school fundamentals and new-school innovation. I bring a unique perspective shaped by extensive international and NBA playing experience, allowing me to connect with athletes at every level and adapt to the modern game’s pace and complexity. I infuse my own playing journey into my approach—teaching through experience, not just theory.
Grounded in the discipline and principles passed down from my Hall of Fame high school and college coaches, I emphasize toughness, accountability, and basketball IQ. At the same time, I embrace today’s game—its speed, spacing, and emphasis on player empowerment and versatility.
Whether I’m developing young talent or working with elite athletes, my goal is to elevate their game through a mix of time-tested techniques, progressive strategies, and the wisdom gained from a lifetime in the sport.

My Story
Ben Davis (born December 26, 1972) is an American former professional basketball player known for his versatility and global basketball journey.
Early Life and College Career
Born in Vero Beach, Florida, Davis honed his basketball skills at Oak Hill Academy in Virginia, a school renowned for producing top-tier basketball talent. He began his collegiate career at the University of Kansas (1991–1992) before transferring to Hutchinson Community College. At Hutchinson, he led the team to an NJCAA championship in 1994. Davis then transferred to the University of Arizona, where he played from 1994 to 1996 and earned First-team All-Pac-10 honors in 1996.
Professional Career
Davis was selected 43rd overall in the second round of the 1996 NBA Draft by the Phoenix Suns. Although he didn’t play for the Suns immediately, he eventually appeared in the NBA with both the Phoenix Suns and the New York Knicks. His NBA career included brief stints, and he also signed with the Miami Heat and Houston Rockets, though he didn’t play in regular-season games for those teams.
Beyond the NBA, Davis had an extensive international and minor league career. He played for teams such as the Grand Rapids Hoops, Capitanes de Arecibo (Puerto Rico), Tau Cerámica (Spain), Makedonikos (Greece), Cantabria Lobos (Spain), Roseto Sharks (Italy), Benfica (Portugal), and Lechugueros de León (Mexico), among others. His professional basketball career spanned from 1996 to 2009, showcasing his adaptability and passion for the game across various leagues and countries.
Legacy
While Davis’s time in the NBA was brief, his commitment to basketball led him to a diverse and global career. His journey reflects the path of many professional athletes who find success and fulfillment beyond the NBA, contributing to the sport’s growth worldwide.
